美國聯合航空（United）週日因航班超賣機位，將一名亞裔男子強行拖下飛機，現場影片在全球網絡瘋傳，杯葛聯合航空的呼聲在全球各地獲得響應，聯合航空母公司的股票周二下跌了3%，公司市值蒸發了 8 億美元。
與此同時，今次事件亦引發了社交網站的改圖、製作短片和Gif圖熱潮，網民紛紛發揮創意，為聯合航空「贈興」：
